Photos opening of the Art Exhibition 

A biennial art award at Port Pirie Regional Art Gallery, in conjunction with the Anglican Diocese of Willochra and the Catholic Diocese of Port Pirie

Tina Wakelin opened the Exhibition at the Port Pirie Regional Art Gallery in the presence of about 60 people.

The Bishop Eugene Hurley spoke of the scandal of a divided Church and how important it was to have the Catholic Diocese and the Anglican Diocese working together and supporting each other.

Bishop Garry Weatherill spoke of the importance of music and art in helping us express our deepest thoughts and feelings.

The judges were Mr John Held of Russell and Yelland Architects and Mr John Voumard, President Belalie Arts Society, Event Manager (Volunteer) Bundaleer Forest Concert Weekend and Current Member Community Cultural Development Board Australia Council.

The winning entry (Major Prize) was In Our Hands by Michael Bryant from Port Germein. Acrylic on canvas.

"My paintings are an attempt to convey my passion as an artist with regard to our fragile environment."

The Catering Guild from the Cathedral Parish served the gathering in style. Garry Hoffmann pours a wine.
