The celebration of a Centenary is an opportunity to
- Celebrate what God has been doing among us in the last 100 years and today and even those years before the Diocese began
- Grow our sense of belonging to the Body of Christ in this part of the world
- Stimulate our faith in Jesus Christ and give us courage to reach out to our communities with his good news
- Get involved in mission and to seek to transform those things which are unjust
- Recognise the wonders created by God and to seek to be better stewards of the environment entrusted to us
- Invite others in the wider community to join with us in these things
A Prayer for the Diocese of Willochra
God of hope and love,
you have called us to be the body of Christ;
Inspire us in the Diocese of Willochra
to worship with joy and energy
serve with compassion
and be welcoming of others
in our communities,
so that all will know
the good news of Jesus
to whom with you and the Holy Spirit
be honour and glory forever.
THE WILLOCHRA BURSARY
A fund has been established so that everyone in the diocese can contribute to “closing the gap” for indigenous students in this region.
THE PILGRIMAGE OF THE FIRST BISHOP’S STAFF

It will be on pilgrimage in the Archdeaconry of Eyre until July 26 when it will be at the Cathedral for the celebratory Eucharist. After that it will be on pilgrimage in the Archdeaconry of Flinders until it arrives at Bishop’s House at the final garden party on 21 November 2015.

SIMULTANEOUS DINNER AND MOTHERING SUNDAY
14-15 MARCH, 2015
Everyone in the diocese is encouraged to be involved in their own community in this diocesan event. It’s up to you locally but at the same time you know that on this weekend all the Anglicans of Willochra can be doing something together.
The speaker will be Bishop John Stead giving a short encouraging address by DVD.
The notes have been prepared with individuals and small groups in mind. The series is titled Thirsty? as we join with all those who have ‘thirsted after righteousness’ in the past and those who long to become closer to God now. Prepared by the Rev’d Ruth Buxton.
